Learning Activity

Students learn ways to collect, organize, display and interpret data involving larger numbers. They use scales on their graphs to represent larger data collections and use averages to compare data.

This Learning Activity is divided into three sections. Adults should guide children through it in the following order:

Minds On: Introduces the learning concepts to be explored in the Learning Activity.
Action: Offers a focused activity to explore the content and discover key concepts.
Consolidation: Provides students with an opportunity to deepen understanding and reflect on learning.

Students continue to develop their understanding of Data. They learn more ways to collect, organize, display and interpret Data involving larger numbers. They start to use scales on their graphs so they can represent larger Data collections and use averages to make comparisons of Data.
